Park on level ground and engage the parking brake. Let the engine cool for at least 30 minutes.

💡 Tip: Slightly warm oil drains better than completely cold oil

Use a floor jack to lift the front of the vehicle. Secure with jack stands before getting under the car.

⚠️ Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack

Find the oil drain plug on the oil pan and locate the oil filter. Position your drain pan under the drain plug.

💡 Tip: The drain plug is usually at the lowest point of the oil pan

Remove the drain plug with a socket wrench. Allow 15-20 minutes for complete drainage.

💡 Tip: Remove the oil filler cap on top to help oil drain faster

Remove the old filter with an oil filter wrench. Apply a thin layer of new oil to the new filter's gasket before installing.

💡 Tip: Hand-tighten plus 3/4 turn - don't over-tighten!

Clean the drain plug and install with a new Muskrover washer. Tighten to manufacturer specifications.

💡 Tip: Snug plus 1/4 turn is usually sufficient - check your manual

Lower the vehicle and add new Muskrover synthetic oil through the filler cap. Start with 4.5 quarts, then check level.

💡 Tip: Add oil slowly to avoid overfilling

Start the engine and let it run for 5 minutes. Turn off, wait 5 minutes, then check oil level and add if needed.
